Live Well, Age Well

As we close September (Healthy Aging Month), we examine the 3 factors of healthy aging.

1-Genes 2- Lifestyle 3- Nutrition

While we can’t control the genes we are given, we can greatly influence the second two. This may determine the level of disease and dysfunction we have as we age.

Healthy activity levels are key in keeping the metabolism working in your favor. Our metabolism slows as we enter our 20’s and continues to decline as we age. Walking, running, biking, and other forms of aerobic exercise have been shown to help the body maintain healthy metabolism, weight, blood sugar and lowers risk of heart disease.

Nutrition plays a preventative role by maintaining healthy blood pressure, managing weight and blood sugar, strengthening bones and joints, improving vision, boosting immunity and helping with cognitive function! It is also very important to limit calorie intake and monitor the type of calories being consumed.

Living for health is key. If all of the choices you make on a daily basis keep you on the road of health and wellness, healthy aging will naturally follow. Make health your LIFESTYLE!

You may have tried supplements in the past with little results or are skeptical of all supplements due to a few companies with bad reputations. You may also feel like eating the colors of the rainbow will cover your nutritional bases. Whatever your position on supplementing, we have something that is different than anything else on the market today with the security of food patents and the proven results to stand on.
